BankArt 1929 has played a leading role in Yokohama since March 2004, shaping the city’s art scene and representing its creativity. It has received the “Yokohama- People, Town, Design” and the “Machinami Scenery” awards for its ongoing activities and impressive bayside views. Its renovated warehouse spaces serve as the creative bases of several artists, and its waterside location boasts both old and new views of the city. Thanks to its popularity, the NYK Waterfront Warehouse (BankArt Studio NYK) will extend its activities through 2014. This exhibition celebrates the site’s awards and ongoing operations.
