City Sticks
Brought together through “12 water stories magazine” the illustrator Chiaki Tagami and independent publisher of Transistor Press Yumiko Sato formed the band City Sticks. But the instruments of these artists are brushes and pencils, used like drum sticks, capturing the rhythm and narrative of the city. In this show they take on Brooklyn, New York, while also hosting a series of events everyday throughout the exhibition period, in a space recreating the atmosphere of Occupy Wall Street, hoping to offer up an experience of social relevance.
