“Winter Show” is a group show featuring new and major works by six artists. Sakan Kanno, whose precise abstract paintings composed of contours have received high acclaim, presents a collection of new paintings. Known for incorporating LED gadgets into his art, Satoshi Otsuka showcases here his major series combining LEDs and briefcases. In addition, Yuken Teruya features his work “Notice-Forest,” cut-outs made out of paper bags, while Michiko Nakatani presents her latest relief works, and Katsuhiro Saiki (from SCAI the Bathhouse) showcases his photographic series “Place” capturing the sky. And finally, Shunsuke Kano, who is also presenting a solo show for the “The 8th Annual Shiseido Art Egg” at the Shiseido Gallery (1/10-2/2/2014), exhibits his three-dimensional works.
