1963 marked the year when the first 30 minute series of Japanese animation "Astro Boy" was screened on television sets around the country. Since this time countless anime television series have come to form Japan's highly original animation culture. Commemorating 50 years since the first broadcast of this series this exhibition examines how "Astro Boy" came into being and follows in the footsteps of the animation company "Studio Zero".
