Takehiko Sugawara
Upon moving to Yamanashi in 1996 Takehiko Sugawara came to encounter historic cherry blossom trees which opened up a new door of possibilities for him. Building on the traditions of nighonga he captures the beauty and dynamism of the natural world in abstraction, reflecting the universal energy and delicate grace of the cherry blossom.
