Artists

Kenichiro Mizuno
Growing up as a child under the strong influence of Japanese anime and further baptized through its various reinterpretations in cult movies and contemporary art Kenichiro Mizuno creates animation of a fragmented nonlinear form which further emphasizes the qualities of the very medium itself. While proposed as forays into science fiction they are more embodiments of surreal fantasy in a unique sensibility only possible in the form of animation as art. In this exhibition Mizuno presents a new short animation work accompanied by sketches, drawings, character designs and landscapes produced in its making.
