Exhibiting lacquer by Tadasu Yamanaka and three of his students, as well as works by younger generations of artists. Featured artisans include those involved industrial leadership in Taiwan, Taiwanese graduates who have conducted research in Japan, and those who have led research at Tokyo University of the Arts. Exploring the relationship between trends in Taiwanese lacquer and Tokyo University of the arts, this exhibition offers a look at developments in lacquer by the next generation of artists.
