The “world” in the exhibition’s title refers to both the realities seen by artists and the imagined worlds they themselves bring about. The “pictures” artists produce connect separate worlds of nationality, economy, and culture, as well as their own dreams, thoughts, and desires. All of these images appear like apparitions in their works.
