Nicolas de Crécy
One of the leading figures of Franco Belgium comics Nicolas de Crécy is renowned for his powerful images and gripping narratives as to be found in such works as Le Bibendum céleste, Salvatore and Journal d’un fantôme and has had a significant influence of Japanese manga artists, animators and illustrators. In 2008 he stayed in Japan through the invitation of the Villa Kujoyama and collated his residence in the book “Carnets de Kyoto” telling of food and supermarkets, monsters and landscapes in his own unique perspective upon the country of Zen.
