Noriyuki Nakayama
Noriyuki Yamanaka has continued to paint the faces and figures of women throughout his career. Since 2001, he has focused especially on large close-ups of faces. The expressions of his female subjects, which are based on his own daily memories and experiences rather than particular models, are drawn with assured skill and seem to project the internal world of the viewer. Around ten new and recent works are on display.
