Excavations of the Japanese Archipelago 2013

Edo-Tokyo Museum
Finished
Currently there are over 8000 sites of archaeological interest being excavated each year across Japan, but the opportunities to encounter the outcomes of these examinations is rather limited. This exhibition presents a collection of exciting artifacts allowing visitors to become more familiar with archaeology and deepen their understanding of the importance of these preservation processes. At the same time the local exhibition will be presenting rare objects discovered buried beneath Tokyo and precious items which tell of the Edo age.
