Kanji Wakae
Kanji Wakae creates works that explore transitions between the diverse expressions of photography, sculpture, drawing, and installation. Asking the viewer to reconsider the relationship between recognition and perception, his art questions preconceived notions and the gap between them and reality. This exhibition presents Wakae’s latest drawings, photographs and installation, as well as works from the 1970s. These pieces offer a glimpse into the attitude of an artist who attempts to recognize a relationship with the world through art.
