We are all familiar with the iconic design products of Eames Office, as typified by the “Eames Chair”, but how much do we know of the founders of this renowned group? This documentary follows the lives of Ray Kaiser, the painter, and Charles Eames, the architect, from their moment of meeting to the launch of the design office, through the WWII, America’s rapid modernization to the cold war, charting the development of their much loved work through the changing landscape of the times. With letters, photos, samples of their work and interviews with their family and members of the design studio, this film brings new insight into the lives and work of the two Eames’.
