The Middle World is an existence of the in-between, that oscillates amidst one existence and its counterpart which define each other; the sun and the moon, day and night, life and death, warmth and cold and it is the central concern of Reiko Yamazaki to capture the opposing elements and bring them into being. Within each of these poles is contained a sense which can not be grasped, and so draws out a quiet narrative at the behest of one's mental image.
