50 Years of TV Animation Vol. 3— Animation Jobs

Suginami Animation Museum
Finished
1963 marked the year when the first 30-minute series of Japanese animation, “Astro Boy,” was screened on television sets around the country. Since then countless anime television series have come to form Japan’s highly original animation culture. Commemorating 50 years since the first broadcast of Astro Boy, the third part of this exhibition introduces the work of animators, which is popular among children but not well understood.
