The Japan Media Arts Festival is the Agency of Cultural Affair’s comprehensive media arts festival honoring outstanding works in the divisions of Art, Entertainment, Animation, and Manga. It also provides a platform for appreciating these award-winning works. In each category, one Grand Prize winner, four Excellence Award winners, three New Face Award winners, and four Special Achievement Award winners have been chosen through a strict selection process. The festival also features a program of symposiums, presentations, and workshops by Japanese and international artists and creators, introducing a world of expression and creativity in our age.
