La Méditerranée dans les Collections du Louvre

Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum
Finished
Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum presents a selection of 200 works from the Louvre Museum Collection in an exhibition covering four millennia of Mediterranean history. The artifacts included in this show reveal a rich personality born from the cross over between the culture of East and West, with pieces such as the ancient Roman statue “Artemis Diana de Gabies” the gorgeous patterns of the Rococo era and the orientalist paintings of French artist Chassériau being of particular note amongst this precious array of cultural heritage.
