The 1_Wall exhibition presents the work of 6 finalists selected from a portfolio review and interview process, with the grand prize being finally awarded on 9th October(Wed) following a final review panel with a presentation by all of the finalists, and the award winner being announced after discussion between the judges. The winner will be awarded a solo exhibition in 1 year’s time along with the production of an accompanying catalogue.
This 9th volume gives a focus upon portraiture, with complex family relationships, documents of young Koreans in school entrance ceremonies and military service. The Nikkei Brazilian community in Japan, male nudes, self portraits set in the dream world of a young girl and images collected on a digital camera imbued with new meaning.
