Trans Arts Tokyo 2013 Interlink Exhibition “Made in Kanda”

3331 Arts Chiyoda
Finished

Artists

Masanori Ikeda, Seung Woo Back et al.
In this exhibition, artists, photographers, and architects attracted to Kanda perceive the Tokyo neighborhood from various angles. Kanda natives are models for the “Kanda Portrait Project” by photographer Masanori Ikeda, while the “Kanda Street Observation 2013” orchestrated by artists and local residents focuses on Kanda and its people from an everyday perspective. Architect Yoshiharu Tsukamoto (Atelier Bow-Wow), who presented “Made in Tokyo” in 1996, has formed a new team to construct “Urban Kandalogy.” Emerging Korean artist Seung Woo Back is staying in Kanda and creating new works for his “Reestablishing Shot” series, in which aerial views of the city are combined in collages.
