Artists

Sigalit Landau
The Israeli artist Sigalit Landau depicts the history of her country in terms of life and death, physicality, and interpersonal relationships, with pain an ever-present element. Her work represented Israel at the 54th Venice Biennial in 2011 and also appeared at the 2011 Yokohama Triennial. In her first solo exhibition in Japan, a large video installation shows a harvest at an olive garden in southern Israel’s Negev Desert. Another installation portrays the home of immigrants in 1950s Israel.
