With the use of an airbrush Takeshi Nagase creates paintings of photo-realistic quality, in the past presenting delicate images of a women and flowers. Yet upon the occasion of the Great East Japan Earthquake he has come to critically question what he hopes to achieve in painting and has produced a new body of work on exhibit here.
