MOT Collection “We Are 90: 1923-2013 - Afterimages of Tomorrow”
This event has ended.
We are constantly coming into contact with “images” inside and outside of ourselves that come in many shapes and forms. Whether they take the shape of pictures, movies, photos or are perhaps formless and abstract, there’s a wide range of shapes. This season’s MOT collection will be works from people who express themselves to the surrounding world with “images” of their own.
The first section will be what has taken over over last year’s collection, entitled “We Are 90: 1923-2013” with a focus on works that have been made in response to the crisis of the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923.
The second section will deal with traces of the present entitled “Afterimage” with the word “image” meaning not something reproduced in front of your eyes but something that uses multiple means to express what the artist wants to express.
