Kanako Ohya
Kanako Ohya is an award winning artist who has been made recipient of the 2008 Gunma Biennale For Young Artists Award, the 2009 28th Sompo Japan Art Award and was also selected for the 2013 VOCA award exhibition. In this show Ohya showcases a collection of work inspired but the landscapes of her travels, and the everyday memories and experiences which come to form “my own garden”, expressed in ambivalent images which can not be pinned to a particular time or place, with warm colors and quiet insight.
