Developed in Iwate Prefecture, Nambu Tekki ironware is quietly gaining popularity amid a growing movement that focuses on lifestyles promoting engagement with nature and hands-on work. Imbued with both practical strength and warmth through exacting traditional methods of craftmanship, Nambu Tekki is admired overseas and is drawing renewed attention for its valuable role in new 21st century lifestyles. This exhibition presents a fine selection of Nambu Tekki made by Japan’s leading artisans.
