Shirokane Art complex 5th Anniversary exhibition, curated by Hiroshi Sugimoto.
An exhibition held to coincide with the Mori Art Museum’s 10th Anniversary exhibition “Love.” Taking its title from a popular Japanese novel and film on platonic love this exhibition points to the simultaneous presence of Eros and death in the discussion of love. To face love and death is to face the transient and the eternal. This exhibition presents a select group of artists who confront love and death, with expression not only limited to the pure and innocent but also lust and passion, reflecting the complexity of our own human hearts.
