Artists

Hiroyuki Oki
Oki’s work has varied in recent years, including both visual art and installations. While his modes of expression change, his interest remains in how people operate. Many of his installations incorporate his own life, and his visual works also feature images, words, and other elements of his daily existence. Utilizing unconventional playing speeds and focal points, Aoki seems to be directing our own perspective. Many of his words filmed in fragments also appear in his drawings, inviting interpretations about the artist’s relationship to his subjects and the distances between the two. The architectural concepts integral to Aoki’s expression are most likely what allow the viewer to experience the entire expanse of his creativity across different media. This exhibition attempts to realistically portray the expanding chaos inside the artist’s mind.
