The Support Project was initated by graduates of Tokyo University of the Arts in July 2011, hoping to offer support to regeneration of the areas affected by 3.11. Even 2 and a half years after the disaster stil 90% of those made refugees are living in prefab temporary housing complexes, and there continue to be many challenges faced in the Tohoku area. Through sales of their art this group of creatives has to date gathered over 7 million yen which they have donated to various charities active in the Tohoku region. In the 9th edition of this ongoing series 99 artists come together in a special sale event of their work, the purchase of which will be making a direct contribution to rebuiliding the disaster areas.
