Kazutomo Tashiro
Kazutomo Tashiro features his body of work engaging the disaster areas of 3.11, documenting the regeneration process and continuing challenges which people face here over the changing seasons. In the Spring he photographs the residents of temporary housing districts, in the Summer the visitors to the entertainment area of Kokubun-cho, in the Autumn the people of Naraha made refugees by the nuclear disaster and in the Winter he focuses upon the workers of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Plant. His most recent collection of work has won his the Sagamihara Emerging Photographers Award and has gained him much respect in his sensitive depiction of the daily changes of the disaster region. Also accompanying this exhibition is the publication “Hamayuri - Sanriku, Fukushima 2011-2013”, a 496 page photography collection published by Satoyamasha.
