Yuko Nagayama “A Future That Starts With Architecture: Tadanori Yokoo on Teshima and Tabaimo and Yoriko Hoshi on Uwajima

Eye of Gyre

This event has ended.

Designed by architect Yuko Nagayama, this event is like a short trip to an architectural project’s site in search of inspiration through its images, photographs, and models. Centered on Tadanori Yokoo’s large painting “The Primitive Universe,” “Teshima Yokoo House” features eleven panel works, the interior of a cylindrical space, and installations displayed in the house’s garden, all of which are integral to the site’s architecture. “At Art Uwajima 2013” is located at an old, venerated wooden inn and the unoccupied stores of a shopping arcade, presenting novels by the manga artist Yoriko Hoshi and films by the contemporary artist Tabaimo.
