Craft pieces, which bring out the power of their materials while weaving together techniques and expressions, sometimes reveal unexpected textures and details. The secrets of the artist’s expression lie in the parts of the pieces visible only when in close proximity to them. This show aims to get to the truth of works by five modern artists including Chokichi Suzuki (1848–1919) through their details.
