The genre of musical film, which came into bloom thanks to cinema’s acquisition of sound, comprises one of the most graceful segments of Hollywood movies. Centering around the original posters of postwar films from the collection of the famous illustrator Makoto Wada, this exhibition traces the lineage of the musical film, which which added gorgeous color to movie history.
