This event has ended.

Held four times annually, this exhibition introducing Japanese modern and contemporary art spotlights artists with ties to Yokosuka. Room 4 presents a special exhibit commemorating the 130th anniversary of the birth of the sculptor Gozo Kawamura. Room 5 introduces the works of Kan-emon Asaikan, an oil painter who lived in Yokosuka City and had a studio in the Taura area for 20 years. Coinciding with the “Delicious Art” exhibition (held through Nov. 3), food-related works are on display. In Room 8, visitors can not only view but touch the sculptures of Koichi Ebizuka’s “To the Border, From Water and Wind.”
