Spiral
Finished
The popular editor and art journalist Yoshio Suzuki (a.k.a. Fukuhen) will moderate a special talk at Spiral in conjunction with the Nara Prefectural Museum of Art’s “Grand Kojiki Exhibition,” which considers the ancient Japanese text from interdisciplinary perspectives including art, archeology, and linguistics. In Part One, Suzuki will discuss the linguistic legacy of the Kojiki with Sayaka Inoue from the Nara Prefecture Complex of Man’yo Culture. In Part Two, artist Ai Yamaguchi, who is presenting new works at the exhibition, will speak about how the Kojiki’s tales of love and creativity have influenced her own works. Come learn about the creative aspects of this ancient text, as interpreted by a new generation of artists. (In Japanese).
