Con/per/ceptual #3 “Sound as Art”

Art Lab Tokyo
Finished

Artists

André Éric Létourneau,Toshiaki Komori,Atsushi Yamazaki,Taisuke Morishita
In a challenging group show 4 artists come together ‘exhibit’ mere sound. André Éric Létourneau presents an exhibition of the silence accumulated through his ongoing “3 minutes of Silence” performed across the world over more than 10 years as part of his ”Standard” project. Toshiaki Komori(composer) examines the means by which a mere mass of symbols may be converted into music. Atsushi Yamazaki, a sound performer, creates fragmented noise through the re-construction of a piece of music by Sergei Rachmaninoff. And Taisuke Morishita (contemporary artist/noise-sound performer) asserts his conviction of noise as art through his latest sound art piece.
