Claude Wisebash
The internationally acclaimed work of Claude Wisebash is placed on par with that of Edgar Degas and Toulouse-Lautrec, with the exceptional ability to capture a singular moment with upmost precision, while imbuing it with unique expression. Born in 1927 in South East France he trained in painting at art school and later went on to become a professor at Claude Viallat Art Institute, a role which he continued until 1987. Since 1951 his colorful art practice has drawn attention from numerous art critics and in 1997 he was awarded the prestigious National Order of the Legion of Honour. This exhibition features 40 examples of his works including depictions of musicians, tango dancers and circus performances.
