This year the first Yokohama Paratriennale opens in accompaniment to the official Yokohama Triennale. “First Contact” brings together people with disabilities and experts from many different fields and in a process of trial and error work towards a new form of art expression. Over a 3 month period a series of exhibitions and performances will open up a space for new encounters and collaborations, pointing to how each of us has a special role in society.
