Artists

Aya Ito
On display are some 10 ceramic sculptures of various sizes, several photo-drawings, five ceramic pieces painted with glazes, and five new oil paintings. Ito’s unique photo-drawing process involves preparing models made from clay, cut-out drawings, photographs, cloth, and other materials. After exploring the visual effects of these objects by taking hundreds of pictures from various angles and in a variety of frames, Ito then realistically reproduces the worlds captured in the photographs in paintings.
