Sandra March
Utrech presents a series of works from the art book “Felt Felt” by the Barcelona-based artist Sandra March, whose works incorporate themes of gender, the body, and physicality. Combining drawing, photography, and video, this book has an satire-seasoned charm uniquely March’s own. “Felt Felt” features motifs from the butcher’s shop run by her parents, and the book interweaves small stories from their lives. Each episode is accompanied by a recipe and chicken part or sausage made from felt. The price tags of these sets all have four-digit numbers representing the years in which each event occurred. A new, special edition set of felt sculptures inspired by Japan’s “omikuji” fortune-telling strips are among the works for sale.
