“Mathematical Modelling” attempts to define the complex seemingly random phenomenon which surrounds us through the principles of mathematics, but as might be expected this equation can not merely be simplified to such forms as “1+1=2”. This exhibition introduces the work of FIRST, Aihara Innovative Mathematical Modelling Project in the pursuit of “Mathematical Theory for Modelling Complex Systems and Its Transdisciplinary Applications in Science and Technology”. Here 7 research projects into phenomenon ranging from the workings of the brain, to the prevention of disease spread, the work showcased here brings us to a new vision of the phenomenon of the everyday.
