2014 marks the 30th anniversary of the Yayoi Museum, which focuses on illustrations and works of publishing art from the Meiji and Taisho periods. Founder Takumi Kano spent many years assembling his collections of illustrations, which he considered to be fine examples of Japanese culture. This exhibition traces the museum’s 30 years of history with some 450 works, including those of from a collection of valuable pop culture illustrations, as well as works from the private collections of popular artists.
