Zaha Hadid
Presenting the first major exhibition in Japan for Zaha Hadid, a dominant force in global contemporary architecture. Introducing Hadid’s past and current projects, the show gives an overview of her architectural philosophy. From meticulously researched drawings from a period when her designs went unbuilt, to plans for buildings that have been constructed all over the world, to product designs on a wide range of scales, these dynamic installations make full use of the gallery space. There is a focus on Hadid’s projects since the selection of her plan in the competition to design the New National Stadium Japan. While there have been debates about the stadium, information on its designer has been limited. Whether newly acquainted with Hadid or a follower of her career since its beginning, all visitors can experience her work and ideas from their own perspectives.
