Lina Scheynius
A self-taught student of photography since age 10, Sweden’s Lina Scheynius first drew attention with her Flickr account before launching her career as with a portrait of English actress Charlotte Rampling for Dazed & Confused Magazine. She has since contributed to several fashion publications, including Vogue and AnOther. She also ran a year-long photo column that she took over for Jürgen Teller in the German weekly Die Zeit. Her work has been featured at international shows and festivals, including Amsterdam’s Foam Fotografiemuseum and Hamburg’s Deichtorhallen. She held her first solo exhibition in Europe at Zurich’s Christophe Guye Gallery in 2013. Her six limited-edition photography collections, which she produces herself from editing through publishing, have won wide acclaim. This exhibition coincides with the release of her seventh volume this winter.
