Taking the ambivalences that exist between conservation and decomposition and the desires for eternity and ephemerality as its theme, this exhibition invites visitors to reflect on the passage of time. Nothing in this world is eternal, including human beings and the artifacts they create. Everything is subject to the machinations of time. Featured artists Naoya Hatakeyama, Kasper Kovitz, Anne Poirier, Patrick Poirier, and Goang-Ming Yuan express this concept in various motifs, materials, and media.

Across a single united floor, the artists take us on alternate journeys through an ideal place (Naoya Hatakeyama), a sacred place (Kasper Kovitz), recorded and unrecorded collective memories (Anne and Patrick Poirier), and a world of artificial nature using digital media (Goang-Ming Yuan). This exhibition raises universal questions deeply related to the existence of human beings.
