Artists

Naomi Ashida
Naomi Ashida’s ceramic work is combines techniques rooted in Japanese tradition with a somewhat Westernized sense of color. She creates ceramics for everyday use such as her “Ametsuchi” series, but in her exhibitions she takes in various themes and motifs such as “Alice in Wonderland” to create a joyful world like that of an opened picture book. This exhibition is positioned as an extension of her solo show “Pocket” held in Kyoto last year.
