Makoto Aida
Renowned for his sensational works of eroticism, the grotesque, war and violence, this summer Makoto Aida brings his bold solo exhibition to Kirishima Open-air Museum, with a large scale retrospective beginning with works such as “Azemichi (a path between rice fields)” and “Beautiful Flag (War Picture Returns)”, following his rise through art scene in the 1990s and taking stock of hisit near celebrity status with his latest grand production across a 30m wall space.
