Chihiro Minato
Chihiro Minato has been working on a wide variety of themes, including the relationship between the emergence of images and the memory, since he started out in his career as a photographer/ critic in 1985. As the exhibition “Anima on Photo”, co-curated with Shigeo Goto at the Unseen Photo Fair Amsterdam in September, demonstrates Minato’s recent focus has come to rest on the re-imagining of Japanese photography through the perspective of the anima. This exhibition will be a photo essay which looks at both the magic of “transforming” nature and the theme of “Super Nature” in itself. On this occasion, G/P gallery is also organizing a talk show which will feature a number of slides documenting how the exhibition “Anima on Photo” was installed.
