Within Japan this year we have had a plethora of international art festivals taking place including the “Yokohama Triennial”, the “Sapporo International Art Festival” and the “Fukuoka Triennial”. These have coincided with other major biennials across East Asia including Gwangju Biennial, Pusan Biennial and the Taipei Biennial. Having run the Asian Biennial circuit Kentaro Ichihara here feedsback his experiences of these diverse art events.
