2014 Second Special Collection Exhibition: The Works of Yoshishige Saito
This event has ended.
A pioneer of Japanese avant-garde art before and after WWII, the artist and educator Yoshishige Saito (1904–2001) had an enormous impact on younger generations. His drawings, reliefs, and sculptures from the museum’s permanent collection, as well as donated and personal collections, are exhibited. Celebrating the 110th anniversary of Saito’s birth, this is a once-time chance to see his works “Drum P” and “Drum S”, held by the museum’s collection, on display together.
