Finished

Artists

Bruno Taut
In 1933 the German architect Bruno Taut(1880-1938), came to Japan and spent three and a half years in residence here. Taut described this period as an architect’s holiday and took the opportunity to try his hand at things beyond his expert field, including the production of various crafts. This exhibition brings a focus upon his craft work, its systematic design and his particular perspective upon the world which is revealed through these objects.
