From the extensive Egyptian collection of the renowned Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, approximately 200 masterpieces associated with women in ancient Egypt will be shown in Japan for the first time. The exhibition presents objects created for Hatshepsut, the most prominent woman to rule Egypt as pharaoh; images of deities, such as Hathor, goddess of love and fertility; and magnificent jewelry and luxurious cosmetic implements made for royal women.
